VVinden Estate is one of very few wineries in Australia to grow and produce this rare varietal. They believe this to be Australia’s first Sparkling Alicante Bouschet. It is one of the few grapes with red flesh, resulting from a cross in the 1800’s between a Grenache and Petit Bouschet. Grown on our estate vineyard on red loamy clay, it truly reflects the characteristics of the grape varietal, a fruit forward style with red berries on the palate. Picked in early February, the wine resultantly has a lovely crisp finish.
