Sourced from Vinden's Estate vineyard in Pokolbin, planted in 1995 over red clay soil; and the Howard family Somerset Vineyard where Angus once worked. The 3 blocks were planted in 1966, 1968 & 1970 on red volcanic clay soils, over a limestone hillside in Pokolbin. Made in traditional methods; cold soaked, fermented wild in open concrete fermenters, hand plunged, basket pressed and aged in French oak (20% new) for 16 months. The wine is a vibrant Modern Hunter Shiraz with fine tannin and dark fruits. Drink now or any time over the next 10 years.
